Cengiz Kurtoğlu (born 1959, Artvin, Turkey) is a new wave/synthpop artist. He is shortly known by the name Cengiz, the modern Turkish transcription of the name of Turco-Mongol warrior Genghis Khan. He worked as a civil servant at a tea factory in Artvin and then in 1982 migrated to Istanbul to make his dreams come true.
In 1985 his first album "Sen Sözden Anlamaz Mısın?" (Don't You Get The Words?) was released and he became very popular. His
